The Village Plan
The first Village Plan was implemented in 2003 and went to print two years later and it was our response to the Government White Paper Our Countryside - The Future. The purpose of the Plan is to:
Because the Village Plan is based on local opinion, those villages that possess a Plan generally have a significant advantage when making bids for future funding; this is because proof of public consultation is often a fundamental requirement of those organisations allocating grants.
In 2017 the Parish Council will be bringing the 2005 Plan up to date and are keen to hear from residents who have an interest in wanting to help prepare for the future.

- Set out a vision of what is important
- Determine how new development can best be fitted in
- Establish and set out the design and quality standards it should meet
- Agree on how to preserve valued local features, and
- To map out the facilities which the community needs to safeguard the future.
